“Tableau”

She stands, trembling
Goosebump-laden
When is it coming?
Frozen is this moment
Heavy with Longing
The silk weighs
On her svelte frame
Candles hold their breath
Don’t even dare to flicker
The walls hush to watch

And the wind even hovers to wait
Motion ceases
Until he breathes life into the frame
