Poetry Corner – “I’ll Go As Myself”

“I’ll Go As Myself”

Costume party everyday
Let’s see who’s worse for the wear
Hell on the arches and wrinkles on the skin
Wearing short skirts like a dare
So let’s face it, we don’t know who we are
When we’re being told everything by someone else
Forget what they say, I’ll go as myself
